Abstract: Urban green space is recognized as one of the effective ways to promote people's active travel. This study uses GPS travel trajectories to determine whether street plants are dominated by deciduous trees through the Normalized Vegetation Index (NDVI), and uses ArcGIS multiple linear regression to study the impact of street seasonal changes on people's active travel.
The study found (1) Streets dominated by deciduous trees have landscapes with more obvious seasonal changes, which are significantly correlated with the length of active travel, encouraging people to travel actively. (2) Compared with the landscape at the starting point of the trip, the street landscape during the trip has a more significant correlation with active travel. These findings have policy guiding significance.
