Jackson Mississippi suffers from repeat fluvial flooding along the main “life blood” of the city, the Pearl River. Based on the protential risks of current plan “ One Lake Plan”, we propose a new plan——“One River Plan”. “One River Plan” aims to restore floodplain capacity and reconnect river and community. Addressing Creekside flooding is a necessity and will require targeted restoration.
